Regional Volunteering Small Grants (RVSG) Program 2007
The Regional Volunteering Small Grants (RVSG) Program has been developed by the State Government’s Department for Communities to help organisations provide better management and support for volunteering in regional Western Australia. Not for profit, community based organisations located in regional WA are invited to apply for a one-off grant of up to $5,000. Applications close 5pm Friday 31st August 2007.
Lotterywest Capacity Building Grants
Extending the Capacity of Not-for-Profit Organisations Grants promote and support the organisational development of the not for profit sector by increasing the management and leadership skills of staff, committee and board members, and volunteers.
Western Australian Grants for Women Program 2007
The annual Western Australian Grants for Women Program funds projects that strengthen the social and economic wellbeing of women and increase their participation in society.
Department of Sport and Recreation Community Grants Scheme
The Sport and Recreation Community Grants Scheme is aimed at providing local government and community organisations with the opportunity to initiate projects which lead to increased participation in physical activity or enhanced skills by providers of sport and recreation. It is designed to complement the Sport Sustainability Program through which State sporting associations receive their primary DSR funding
Thank a Volunteer Day Grants Program
In Western Australia, 5 December is ‘Thank a Volunteer Day’. As part of Thank a Volunteer Day celebrations on 5 December each year, the Government supports metropolitan and regional communities in thanking their local volunteers with a small grants program. Celebrations on 5 December take place across Western Australia to recognise and thank volunteers, and to increase awareness statewide of the contribution of volunteers to our communities.
Department of Local Government and Regional Development Grants
The Department of Local Government and Regional Development administers a number of grant programs. It is responsible for the development and ongoing implementation of the Regional Infrastructure Funding Program and the WA Regional Initiatives Scheme as part of the Government’s major regional initiative - the Regional Investment Fund.
Other programs administered by the Department include the Regional Collocation Scheme, Community Facilities Grants Program, Indigenous Regional Development Program and Regional Headworks.

WA Week Small Grants Program
To encourage communities in all regions of the State to become involved in and benefit from WA Week Celebrate WA, in partnership with the Government of Western Australia, has made available a WA Week Small Grants Scheme and invites all eligible groups and organisations to apply.

The Western Australian Community Foundation
Western Australian Community Foundation works with a variety of community groups to assist them in establishing permanently endowed donations accounts or charitable trusts. Monies are pooled and invested with the interest earned being used to provide grants back to local communities working in partnership with WACF.

The Government of Western Australia makes a wide range of grants available for various sectors of the community. OnlineWA is the official internet portal to the Government of Western Australia, designed to make it easier to find information or services. Online WA includes a list of links to funding and assistance sources.
Cultural Sector Grants and Services Finder Database
The Culture and Recreation Portal provides access to online services and information in the fields of culture and recreation, from all levels of government and the non-government sector. The grants and services finder is an online database that allows users to find information on Australian grants and services for the cultural sector. The database contains over 1,400 grants and services from over 1,200 organisations. These include organisations from shire councils, state government art bodies, and private providers.
