Carers Counselling Line was set up in August 2003 for all carers regardless of the age or diagnosis of the person to whom they provide care. The 1800-telephone service is managed by professionally qualified counsellors offering counselling, practical assistance, referral and emotional support.

The Carers Counselling Line is funded by the State Government through the established Carers Association of WA (Carers WA).
