Tenants Advice Services provide services to residential tenants and workers who assist tenants, and also engages in law and policy reform to improve the legal and social position of tenants.
Tenants can access information, publications, advice and advocacy through advice lines and freecall numbers. TAS also resources workers who assist tenants through the provision of services including training, workshops, advice, information and publications.
TAS’ aims are as follows;
- to provide tenancy information, advice and advocacy
- to provide community education and training
- to raise awareness of tenancy issues; and
- to seek changes to tenancy law for the benefit of tenants
The Tenants Advice Services consist of a central resource unit and local service units around the state. A detailed entry for each of the services is provided on the pages following.
