The Office has enhanced its strategic partnership with the peak seniors organisation to enable COTA to progress key issues such as health; information and communication technology; elder protection; and communication, education and attitudinal change.

Senior Partners

Providing support and friendship for socially isolated and lonely seniors is the aim of the Senior partners program run by Wesley Mission. Through this program, a volunteer visiting service is offered to older Western Australians who may have lost contact with the community or have no family to support them. On average, volunteers spend an hour per week providing support and each month 37 seniors receive help and 'friendship' from a Senior Partner.
