Queen Elizabeth II Seniors Resource Centre - Geraldton


The State Government funds the City of Geraldton to provide a range of services at the QEII Seniors Resource Centre:

  • Service and support to help seniors reach personal goals,
  • To remain active and independent and to access information and services.

Its goals and themes include providing:

  • a user-friendly social environment for seniors,
  • encouraging cultural diversity and integration.

Activities include:

  • Dance and craft classes,
  • oral history workshops,
  • buddy system for seniors with language difficulties, and
  • protective behaviour workshops.

The "QEII News" is the Resource Centre's newsletter which promotes awareness of its seniors' services. Community partnerships are fostered with seniors' organisations and seniors' facilities within the shires of Geraldton and Greenough.
