In 2003 participants from over 26 organisations took part in a series of six intensive recruitment workshops focussing on Baby Boomer recruitment. The workshops were been spread over a nine month period and formed part of an action research project.

Dr Judy Esmond presented the Booming Recruiting: Action Research Findings at a special event on Tuesday, 11 May 2004, during National Volunteers Week. The new publication entitled "Booming Recruiting: An Action Research Project" was launched at the presentation.
