Regional Volunteering Small Grants Program

REGIONAL VOLUNTEERING SMALL GRANTS (RVSG) PROGRAM 2007

The Regional Volunteering Small Grants (RVSG) Program has been developed by the State Government’s Department for Communities to help organisations provide better management and support for volunteering in regional Western Australia.

Not for profit, community based organisations located in regional WA are invited to apply for a one-off grant of up to $5,000.

Applications are now closed

Individuals, commercial enterprises and government bodies are ineligible to apply.

To be eligible for the RVSG Program the applicant’s project must:
• Benefit communities in regional WA;
• Help provide better management and support for volunteering;
• Contribute to one or more of the program’s intended outcomes; and,
• Be completed by 30 June 2008.

RVSG Program’s Intended Outcomes
To provide better management and support for regional volunteering by:
• Increased community participation and involvement through retention and recruitment of volunteers
• Better volunteer management and support practices
• Better linkages in communities, collaboration and joint initiatives in support of volunteering
• More access to volunteer support for regions that don't have Volunteer Resource centres
