Vista of Vs Project

As part of Thank a Volunteer Day 2006, the Volunteering Secretariat ran the Vista of Vs Volunteer Recognition Project.

"Vistas of Vs" displays with each V bearing the name of one our Western Australia's fine volunteers, took place in communities all around the state as part of Thank a Volunteer Day 2006.

The displays symbolised the number of volunteers undertaking wonderful work in communities around Western Australia, the strength of  the volunteering community, and said a big THANK YOU! to all our wonderful volunteers!

Why the V?
The red "V" has become a well known and universal symbol for Volunteering. The "V" design was commissioned by former Volunteering Australia President and in now used widely as the symbol for volunteering.

Volunteer involving organisations made use of a V Template provided by the Volunteering Secretariat and printed the name of a volunteer on each V. How organisations chose to display their Vs was up to them, a limited only by the imagination!
