Address by Professor Lyn Beazley - Women, Science and Technology 
Professor Lyn Beazley's talk to the WANWA on 20 February 2008, will be shown at Westlink centres throughout WA so regional women have the opportunity to hear the FIRST woman Chief Scientist in Australia and WA. Regional groups may wish to ring their closest Telecentre (refer to the flyer or visit www.westlink.wa.gov.au) so they can hear the inspirational talk about women, science and technology and celebrate International Women's Day together. If you have a satellite dish watch channel 23.  Otherwise book in at the local Telecentre. Enjoy celebrating and viewing Professor Lyn Beazley's talk wherever you are in the State.  If you want a copy of the DVD, please email owp@communities.wa.gov.au  and include your name, title, Organisation, address, email, telephone number so that we can mail a DVD to you and contact you if required. The program will run at the following times:

International Women’s Day luncheon - A Conversation with Geraldine Brooks

ECU is hosting an International Women’s Day luncheon celebration, A Conversation with Geraldine Brooks, on Friday 7 March at The Joondalup Resort.
Geraldine Brooks is the author of the Pulitzer Prize-winning and internationally bestselling novel March. At the luncheon Geraldine will discuss her latest novel, People of the Book. Karen Brown, the WA Editor of The Australia Newspaper will facilitate the conversation.
