IWD Public Symposium 2009

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY PUBLIC SYMPOSIUM

A public symposium featuring some of Western Australia’s top experts in caring will lead this year’s International Women’s Day events.

The public symposium is a free event on Friday 6 March from 9am to 1pm at Central TAFE, 140 Royal Street, East Perth.

The focus of Friday’s public symposium is to promote a change in the expectations that WA communities hold of individuals and families with caring responsibilities.

The symposium will also provide a discussion of gender stereotypes in caring and work life balance options.  By examining current roles and responsibilities, we can discover opportunities to ‘share the caring’ within Western Australian community.
