Coffee Mornings
Birthrites: Healing After Caesarean
Coffee mornings twice every month for women who have had a previous caesarean to talk about their experience with other women who have experienced the same.   The objective of the group is to facilitate healing in women who need to debrief from their caesarean birth.   Information and support is provided for women to make informed choices about subsequent births,  including information on VBAC and planning an empowered repeat caesarean.

16 Days of Activism

Amnesty International WA / Women's Council for Domestic & Family Violence Services WA
Violence against women persists in all regions of the world as a pervasive violation of human rights and a major impediment to achieving gender equality.  The 16 Days commences on 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and finishes on 10 December, the United Nations Day for Human Rights.  Community members and organisations are invited to participate in the 2008 Calendar of Events for the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence by holding an event, however big or small.
