Looking after yourself

Whether you were in a disaster, knew someone who was in a disaster or have been saddened and frightened by the events which unfolded, recovering and healing from the disaster is going to be hard.

Some people will feel better quickly, some will take time, some will feel like it never affected them at all and some will feel they are bouncing between them all - feeling good one day and back where they started the next.

It is really important to take care of yourself now. A lot of what you are feeling is completely understandable even though it feels like it isn't.

These feelings and sensations you are having are an understandable response to an abnormal situation.
