Youth Development Holiday Program

April 2009 and July 2009 School Holidays

Incorporated not-for-profit community organisations are invited to apply for funds to run youth development activities during the APRIL 2009 and JULY 2009 school holidays. Projects should target young people of secondary school
age only.

The program aims to encourage and support community based organisations to deliver a range of holiday activities for young people of secondary school age only which reinforce positive behaviour, enhance self-esteem and improve personal development.
The program is delivered through a range of physically and mentally stimulating activities that provide challenges for young people in a supportive, social environment.

Applications which demonstrate that the proposed activities will target disadvantaged young people of secondary school age only are strongly encouraged.

Grants will be to a maximum of $2000 for each holiday period and are a subsidy only towards the total cost of the project.

The closing date for applications is 5.00pm THURSDAY 15 JANUARY 2009.
