2. Growing up kids videos

The Growing up kids videos are designed to be used by workers when talking with parents, carers and families about raising strong families.

Videos have been made for five regions in Western Australia—the Kimberley, Pilbara, Murchison/Gascoyne, Goldfields and Metropolitan/Southwest. Each video features local presenters and families who talk about their views on parenting and family.

A small Growing up kids booklet supports the videos.

If you would like to see the video contact your nearest Department for Community Development metro or country office.

3. Growing up kids booklet

The Growing up Kids booklet goes with the Growing up kids videos. Families can take the booklet away with them after they have watched the video to remind them of their good ideas.

4. Best Start

Best Start is a program to improve the wellbeing of Aboriginal children from birth to five years to better prepare them for preschool and year one.

5. Keeping Our Kids Safe

Kids have a right to be safe. They need to be kept safe at home and in the community. Kids are our future. We need to help them to grow up to be healthy and strong people. Our families and community can work together to help care for and keep kids safe. Find out more about Keeping Our Kids Safe.
