
INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY PUBLIC EXPO
Sunday will feature a free public EXPO, including events and information from various community organisations.
Central TAFE will be open to the public from 10am to 3pm on Sunday 8 March 2009.

Aboriginal Legal Service
ALSWA is the largest community based Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander legal organization in Australia. It provides legal aid services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples throughout Western Australia in accordance with grant conditions imposed by the Commonwealth Attorney General's Department.
Australian Federation of University Women (AFUW)
The AFUW is an apolitical, non-government organisation through which graduate women have their collective voice heard on issues of critical importance including, education, health, human rights, peace and human security, environment and the status of women.
Baptistcare
Founded in 1972, Baptistcare is a church-based, public benevolent institution and not-for-profit that provides a range of Aged Care, Disability, Mental Health, Counselling and community services across metropolitan and regional Western Australia.
BreastScreen WA
Women in Australia have a 1 in 8 risk of developing breast cancer in their lifetime. Screening mammograms are performed for the purpose of detecting breast cancer at an early stage. Women aged 40 years or over are eligible to have a FREE screening mammogram at BreastScreen WA every two years.

Fostering Services
The Foster Care Service is a unit within the Department for Child Protection whose role is to recruit, assess and train prospective foster carers. The Department provides care for children aged from birth to 17 years, either for emergency, respite, short, medium or long term care.
GAIN
GAIN stands for Gynaecological Awareness Information Network. GAIN Inc is a non-government, not-for-profit organisation, driving awareness of, and education about, gynaecological heath matters. Many women afflicted with such conditions may feel very alone. They often suffer in silence, afraid of what they don't know, and lack the courage to share their anguish.
Genetic Support Council WA
The Genetic Support Council WA is a not for profit organisation that acts as a peak body for genetic support groups in Western Australia. Among other things, the Council promotes awareness of genetic conditions in the community, and supports effective and efficient management and service delivery practices within genetic support groups.
GROW WA
GROW is a community of persons working towards mental health through mutual help and a 12 step program of recovery. Small groups of people who have experienced depression, anxiety or other mental or emotional distress, come together on a weekly basis to help each other deal with the challenges of life. Some people come to GROW while struggling with the loss of a job, a loved one or a relationship.
Langford Aboriginal Association
The establishment of Langford Aboriginal Association Inc was the vision of several families who saw a gap in the services being provided to Aboriginal community members in Langford and surrounding suburbs. It was identified that there was a need for a place to call our own, a meeting place and a place to carry out activities identified by the community. Partners of Veterans Assoc of WA
The P.V.A. intends to fill the identified, large gap of need overlooked by other ex-service organizations and government departments for partners of those who have served in war or peacekeeping duties. Services include informing members on health, member’s rights, entitlements, support and advocating on behalf of members.

Reclaiming Voices
Reclaiming Voices is actively committed to raising community awareness and providing education in relation to the complexity and prevalence of sexual assault.
