
INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY
INDIGENOUS CELEBRATION
Celebrations on Sunday March 8 feature a celebration of the caring contribution made by Indigenous women.
The Indigenous celebration is a free event on Sunday 8 March from 10.30am to 12.30pm at Central TAFE, 140 Royal Street, East Perth.
Channel Ten presenter Narelda Jacobs will be the MC for the event which will be formally opened by the Women's Interests Minister, Robyn McSweeney.
Performances and recognising Indigenous carers are a feature of the event.

Kwarbah Djookian Dance Group
The Kwarbah Djookian Dance Group was initially formed to become part of the Boodjar Weern Spirit of the Land Showcase, bringing Indigenous women's dance to the performances.
Thalia Skopellos
Thalia is of Aboriginal/Greek heritage; with her Aboriginal mother originating from the Murri Tribe far North Queensland. Thalia’s experience started with the Yowarliny Singers and a national tour to the Adelaide Fringe Festival.
Moana Dreaming
Moana Dreaming (pronounced more-ah-na), meaning ocean in Te Reo Maori, are a collective of four young, talented, indigenous singer/songwriters.
